After weeks of Forza Horizon 3 (PC edition) crashing within seconds of startup, it finally started working for about 20 minutes. Long enough for me to see how much fun it is and long enough to get me into the racing game mood. Unfortunately, it started crashing immediately again, so I played another racing game from the recent past: Dirt Rally.

Amazing game. Beautiful graphics, great UI, well-curated car selection, good physics. My only complaint is that it’s really really rediculously difficult. Or I just suck at it. Either way, it’s almost as challenging as getting Forza Horizon 3 to run well on a PC.

It is really, really difficult because it’s very realistic. I also suck at it, but I love it.

You know what. I forgot Dirt Rally existed and I feel like an utter cunt for doing so. So much so, I’m gonna trade in Mafia 3 and pick it up tomorrow.

It’s so good, so I’m hoping I eventually get better at it. I’m glad you don’t have to get 1st place in everything to progress.

It’s an excellent game, but it’s very different from the rest of the Dirt series. From the very first race, it makes no attempt to coddle you.

Dirt rally is fantastic but i play it very little simply because it requires total concentration. Thats great but it means playing it after a long day at work... no way.

When it runs, it’s smooth. Most of the crashes are in the menus or garage.

Core i7 and GTX780. Runs it on medium pretty well.... Except for the crashes of course.
